Unas 600 personas se manifiestaron el jueves 26 por el Barrio de Sants contra las sentencias desproporcionadas a raíz de las protestas contra el desalojo de Can Vies, unas sentencias que van de entre los 3 años de prisión a los 6 meses. Una marcha muy combativa en todo momento con la presencia del grupo de familiares de las encausadas y diferentes colectivos del Barrio.
En el recorrido de la manifestación se han echo pintadas en solidaridad con las encausadas y contra las prisiones, también se ha descolgado una pancarta en solidaridad desde el nuevo bloque ocupado por la PAH. Cuando se ha llegado a la sede del distrito, delante de un fuerte blindaje por parte del cuerpo de antidisturbios de la guardia urbana de Barcelona, se han tirado globos de pintura contra la fachada, se han reventado un par de sedes bancarias y finalmente se ha desconvocado en la plaza Osca.
About 600 people protested last thursday 26th in Sants (Barcelona) against the disproportionate sentence as a result to the protests against the eviction of Can Vies, a social centre self-managed by civil associations. The sentences vary from 3 years to 6 months in prison. It was a combative march formed by different groups and associations from the neighbourhood and the relatives of the accused.
Along the demonstration walls were painted in support of the accused and against prisons. Also a placard was hanged from a new block squatted by the PAH, an association which helps people evicted or troubled by their mortgage payment. When the protesters arrived to the city council offices in the district, there was a strong riot police presence. There, lots of balloons with paint were thrown against the front wall and different banking establishments were smashed.
